The historic Arnott-Haber House in the Coldenham area of Montgomery, New York was built around 1820 as the farmhouse for the Arnott or “Arnot” family. James Arnott built the Federal-style house that passed to his descendants, but would later be owned by other families before becoming abandoned abandoned near the end of the twentieth century.

The house gained a lot of notice in 2017 when Amazon bought the property as a site for a new fulfillment center. Instead of being demolished, the house was secured onto hydraulic jacks and wheels and pulled 150 feet north to make way for Amazon’s new road.
